Duties

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Brand Communications to help create and manage the reputation of one of the most recognized brands in the world. 
You will bring excellent communications/PR skills to help develop, manage, and execute Communications strategies across paid, earned, and owned channels, reaching defined audiences (e.g. consumers and community influencers) with creative excellence in mind. 

 

Responsibilities 

•    Lead strategy and execution of integrated communications campaigns that advance McDonald’s reputation priorities, including employee wellbeing, food quality, and value/affordability. 
•    Lead cross-functional team of peers across marketing, people, operations, etc. to achieve collective reputation goals.   
•    Lead major external campaign elements and activations that are credible, culture-driving, buzz-worthy and uniquely McDonald’s. 
•    Manage agency partners, driving collaboration, prioritization and insights-driven, bold creative ideas. 
•    Manage and develop one direct report, coaching them through campaign execution and helping them advance their professional development goals.  
•    Represent Brand Communications at key leadership meetings and system convenings, including close partnership with McDonald’s Owner/Operators 
•    Oversee a multi-million dollar budget, strategically allocating internal and external resources and leading the scoping and agency review process in close collaboration with procurement 
•    Partner closely with agencies and Insights team to manage and measure key metrics to ensure strategies are moving the needle. 
•    Domestic travel required 1–2 times per quarter 

Qualifications

Qualifications: 
•    8+ years of relevant communications experience in-house or at an agency, including external stakeholder engagement, earned media and influencer relations. 
•    Keen ability to develop insight-led ideas that earn media coverage and capture consumer attention 
•    Strong understanding of diverse cultural audiences and leveraging key cultural insights to drive communications strategies. 
•    Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and agency partners to deliver high-impact work 
•    Agile and resilient to drive outcomes and operate in the gray. 
•    Natural storyteller with excellent written and oral communications skills, including an ability to convey complex issues in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences. 
•    Self-starter with strong sense of initiative, focused on results; ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and, at times, within ambiguous and undefined circumstances. 
•    Strong advisory skills with the ability to provide credible counsel to senior leaders 
•    Thrives in fast-paced settings; collaborative, flexible, and committed to meeting deadlines 
•    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $141,955.00 - $177,444.00 per year
